Carmencita Brunch in Madrid truly lives up to the buzz—and it’s no wonder why it’s often cited as the best brunch in Madrid. Every plate is a celebration of flavor, comfort, and community, all served up in a space that’s just as warm and inviting as its staff. Those in search of Carmencita Brunch will discover a menu that marries American classics with European flair.
I visited on a weekday for brunch. There are three locations in the centre of Madrid and we opted for the one in Malasaña.
Location/Environment
Step inside Carmencita and it’s like being welcomed into a local secret. The cozy atmosphere is instantly comforting, think wooden tables, a cheery environment, and the hum of all the satisfied customers.

The staff is cheerful and welcoming, creating the right vibe for a pleasant experience and practically making you feel like a regular.
Carmencita Brunch – Menu
The brunch menu is generous and fresh, offering everything from the perfectly poached Eggs Benedict in different variations all the way to pancakes and burgers. With portions that leave no one hungry and flavors that surprise with every bite, given the mix between traditional American and European flavours, there’s little wonder diners return for more.

Also, one of the things I really like here is that there are various types of hot sauces and salsas on all tables. Basically, a dream for those of us who enjoy spicy flavours.
Carmencita Brunch – Food
The Grattam Eggs Benedict are served with Mexican cochinita pibil, essentially a flavourful pulled pork. On the side, I opted for some delicious and crispy hash browns(if you indulge, do it right). I used a lot of the spicy salsas and the green habanero one, with its spicy acidity, was my favorite for this dish.

El Plato de Bunny is 3 different eggs Benedict, with salmon, avocado and bacon. It also comes with a side.

The American breakfast includes classic elements, such as eggs, bacon, sausages and hash browns. All good quality and well-cooked.

Our last savory dish, the huevos rancheros. This includes two corn tortillas, cheddar cheese, two fried eggs, Mexican salsa, black beans and guacamole. This also makes a great combination with the spicy salsas available on the table.

For dessert, we opted for a homemade chocolate tart with a thick chocolate glaze on top, which reminded me of the cake from the movie Matilda.

Conclusion
For anyone searching for one of Madrid’s best brunch spots, rest assured, the hype is real. Carmencita excels with generous plates, a friendly welcome, and solid value. Don’t sleep on the spicy salsas that will give a real twist to your brunch dish.
