Home Burgers and Shakes is a Colombian burger chain. In the past couple of years, it has opened three locations in Madrid. I was curious to try their menu, so I ordered delivery at home during the weekend.

The menu includes single or double cheeseburgers and bacon cheeseburgers as well as two chicken burgers. There are also fries and milkshakes available.
Simple but pretty much all you need from a burger place.

The single cheeseburger comes with a beef patty, American cheese, tomato, lettuce and Home sauce. Good quality beef patty and fresh ingredients. This burger really sets itself apart from fast food burger chains.
I opted for the Hot chicken burger that is marinated in kefir, breaded and comes with coleslaw and hot sauce. I also added onions and pickles on top. The chicken was thick, juicy and spicy. I would prefer a thicker bread but overall the taste was there and it was properly spicy.
I got both the regular fries as well as the waffle fries with cheese and crispy onion. Both were good although I think the waffle fries could have been crispier. The cheese with the onion was separate so the fries were not soggy. Both were solid fries and something I would gladly eat again.
Conclusion
Home Burgers and Shakes is a burger spot that provides elevated burgers compared to other burger chains with similar price points. Its quality is much more similar to local burger spots than industrialised fast food burgers. Highly recommended. Together with La Revolution and Hundred Burgers, it’s now among my top burger spots in Madrid.
