Marlons began operating in Madrid in 2022 as a burger spot. Marlons is a dark kitchen concept operating with delivery and take-away.
We opted to try their burgers through delivery at home.
Marlons – Menu
The menu includes various permanent burgers, seasonal/limited edition burgers, fries, and chicken wings. The menu mostly focuses on smash burgers.
Marlons – Food
We got the Korean chicken wings as a starter. It is nicely cooked and flavourful without being spectacular.
The Okla burger, inspired by the fried onion burger, was delicious, and its spicy sauce was great. My favorite out of the ones we tried.
The Founder burger was a summer seasonal burger. This was exactly how you would expect a classic American burger to taste. Crispy bacon, pickles, cheese, ketchup and mustard. A nice classic although I found the meat a little dry on this one.
The Fiona burger had a nice mustard-based sauce almost like a salad dressing which was very interesting. A good combination with the lettuce, onions, and pickles.
The Esrek burger is one of Marlons best sellers. A bacon cheeseburger with their in-house made mayo-bacon sauce that was delicious.
The Chicken Deligh-TERS 2.0 is a chicken burger with coleslaw. Very interesting breading that is not thick or very crunchy but has several spices. The chicken was still juicy and overall I liked it although it didn’t have the traditional breading I would expect.
The curly fries were very nice and crunchy. A great side dish for the burgers and a dish I think that all burger places should have.
For dessert, the chocolate chip cookie was soft and chewy. A nicely executed version which I would eat again.
Conclusion
Marlons is a solid option for burgers and is rightly up and coming in Madrid’s food scene. While my personal favorite remains La Revolucion, Marlons has a good variety and quality of burgers, plus the delicious curly fries.
